ARMOURED PIPES OF FLUOROPLAST
Pipeline fittings are supplied in armour; pipeline coupling is of flange type. We produce pipes and pipeline fittings: three-way pieces, elbow pieces, adapters, cross pieces.
Designed for transportation of substances of groups “А”** and “Б”** at operating pressures up to 10 kgf/cm2 (flanges are rated for 16 kgf/cm2) except for А (а)** and high-molecular organic heat transfer agents, and of substances of group А (а) at operating pressures up to 2.5 kgf/cm2 (flanges are rated for 16 kgf/cm2) (safety regulation 03-585-03).
Designed for transportation of substances of group “Б” at operating pressures up to 10 kgf/cm2 (flanges are rated for 10 kgf/cm2) (safety regulation 03-585-03).
* Fluoroplast-4 (Ф-4) – analogue of polytetrafluoroethylene. Fluoroplasts is the name for fluoropolymers used in the RF.
**According to Safety Regulation (“ПБ”) 03-585-03, pipelines with pressures up to and including 10 MPa (100 kgf/cm2) are subdivided into groups (“A”, “Б”, “В”) depending on the hazard class of a transported substance (explosion hazard, fire hazard and harmfulness) and into five categories (I, II, III, IV, V) depending on the operational characteristics of medium: pressure and temperature.
Group “A” – toxic substances: “a” - extremely and highly hazardous substances of class 1 and 2; “б” - moderately hazardous substances of class 3 (hazard classes are stated in GOST 12.1.007-76) Group “Б” – explosion- and fire-hazardous substances: “a” – combustible gases including liquefied hydrocarbonic gases; “б” – highly flammable liquids; “в” – combustible liquids;

Pipes and pipeline fittings of “Ф-4” can be installed in buildings and outside buildings and are designed for transportation of various aggressive liquids, gases and their mixtures, except for melt alkali metals, chlorine trifluoride and elementary fluoride.
The service temperature range of pipes and pipeline fittings of “Ф-4” is limited by thermal resistance of fluoroplast (from - 269 to + 260 0С) and of materials used for fluoroplastic sections protection (armour, flanges): “Ст3” grade steel (from – 40 to +425), ”Ст09Г2С” grade steel (from -70 to + 425).
Fluoroplastic pipelines ensure stable service in aggressive media conditions and under pressure. We can produce armoured pipes, unarmoured pipes, pipes with slip-on flanges and fittings according to pipeline specifications sent by the customer, in compliance with the tables given in the present catalogue.
