Fluoroplastic sealing material (ФУМ) – shaped articles of fluoroplast 4Д (a fine-dispersion form of polytetrafluoroethylene).
Fluoroplastic sealing material of circular, square and rectangular sections of ФУМ-В, ФУМ-Ф and ФУМ-О grades is produced.
ФУМ-В – intended for aggressive general industrial media;
ФУМ-Ф – intended for strong oxidizers;
ФУМ-О – intended for extra pure media and strong oxidizers.
It is used as a chemically resistant, self-lubricating packing and gasket material at fluid pressures up to 6.3 MPa (64 kgf/cm2) in the temperature range from minus 60 to plus 150 °С (ФУМ-В and ФУМ-Ф grades) and up to plus 200 °С (ФУМ-О grade).
